Sonya Scott is an NBCT educator who taught for over 17 years and currently serves as the Physical Science Educational Specialist at the ALSDE in the Alabama Math, Science, Science, and Technology Initiative (AMSTI) Department. Sonya earned a B.S. in Chemistry from Howard University, an M.Ed. in Secondary General Science Education from the University of South Alabama, and a Post-Master's Certification in Educational Leadership at the University of West Alabama.
Sonya is a mother to four adult children, a GiGi to several grandchildren, and a dog mom to a long-haired Chihuahua named Mario. She enjoys cooking, entertaining her family, and serving her church.
